Talking Baritone Ukes--which one (s)?

I just rediscovered ukeleles and pretty much am into tenors. Thinking of adding a baritone. So far all solid wood builds. Ohana and Pono. Looking at Obama BK-35.
Very interested in thoughts and suggestions related to tenors and baritones, tops and backs and sides. Getting the most bang for my money.

Cheers!

Pono is a step or two above Ohana (IMHO) in all facets. I'm generally a big fan of re-entrant tuned tenors and find most low strung baritones rather tubby and lifeless sounding. I can simply capo my nylon guitar at the 5th fret for that sound.

I'm a big fan of anything Pono, well made instruments. I have a old Pono PB Baritone Ukulele that I bought off Craigslist for almost nothing. Any guitar player can jump right on a Baritone, super fun to play around on. Keep your eyes open for a used one. I've seen many Baritones sell for way under their value. Here's mine:

the best looking and best sounding baritone ukulele I had was the Mainland
cedar top/rosewood body.

check them out

Mike Hater the owner is a nice guy. Many times he has a second or a blem he will sell for a reduced price. Mainland ukues and very well respected in the uke commnity and have good resale value.

Great suggestions. I forgot about the uuf. Thanks.

I have a tenor Ohana cedar/rosewood and like the wood combo.

I checked our a Larrivee spruce rosewood baritone. Tonally it was very appealing.

Have a great day.
