Default F1 - Singapore Grands Prix.

Really difficult street track - 23 corners - heavy rain just before the start - Vettel in lead but with two Red Bulls beside/behind him.

Mercedes fourth and fifth (I think)

Kinda hoping that Young Max in the Red Bull get a chance to get a win today.

Lights out - Both Ferraris cut up Max - destroying his car and theirs - and in doing so - give a 1st position to Lewis, and say god bye to the championship.
Alonso's car also sustains damage and is dragging cables and there is no info going to his pit.

I reckon Ferrari had a plan to squeeze out Max which went wrong. They should be harshly penalised for this.

Think the wreck is all on Max. He made two moves, the first on Vettel and the second on Kimi when he had been passed.

Strangely, knowing there's going to be a crash kinda heightens the tension...

Disagree - Ferraris tried to squeeze him out but didn't give him a chance to brake.

Haven't seen a steward's comment yet though.

Whatever I guess it has guaranteed Hamilton the championship, and given some of the middle teams a chance for some valuable points.

Vettel made one move, Raikonnen held his line, Verstappen made two moves. You're only allowed one.

Steward's dec8sion - no further action.

So Vettel can push someone off the track and that's OK.

We've already seen him bang into Lewis in anger once this year. He's becoming a danger.

Just glad he's given away his chance of a championship.

It seems that poor Max is "not allowed" to show his potential.

I'm feeling pretty miffed frankly.

Poor Max was behind both Ferraris when he made his moves. Trailing car has the responsibility. He tried a block when it was way too late and his responsibility was to lift. Both Vettel and Raikonnen had viable lines and were in front of Verstappen.

Vettel is 28 points behind with 6 races left, wouldn't give away the trophy just yet.

Max was a ahead of one Ferrari and behind the other, his moves weren't to block anybody. He did move over on Kimi but only because he was being crowed out by Vettel. If I had to blame anyone, I would blame Vettel, but I think it was two stupid Ferrari drivers. For once, I think Max probably wasn't that big of crash maker.

I'm a Hamilton fan, I was just hoping to get a top 5 with a Vettel's win. So, I'm jazzed. Tight tracks aren't Mercedes thing.

Interesting read Silly Moustache and pretty well sums it up.

' Others felt that Verstappen, as the man who had a clear view of both Ferraris, could have decided discretion was the better part of valour and backed out of it.'

and ..
'The initial touch that triggered the collision was the Red Bull's left front tagging Raikkonen's right rear, which spun the Finn around into Vettel.'

The combination of Vettel's swerve to the left and Max's over zealous starts combined to take them all out and virtually hand the race the Hamilton.

I've voiced my opinion, but I've just found this on YT.

I suggest that you watch that first collision, and the movements of all three cars involved by slowing it down to .25 of normal speed.

My opinion hasn't changed.

If Vettel didn't try his quick blocking maneuver into somebody else's path, nothing would have happened.
