Wrist movement in picking...
I noticed that I've been moving my hand at the wrist as well as the fingers and thumb, in Travis picking.
Does it point out bad technique to do this? Should the wrist remain stationary? |

Does the movement adversely effect your tone, timing, or accuracy?

I try to keep my wrist stationary when fingerpicking. It helps me have a more consistent attack on the strings. But during some patterns, my hand does till move a little bit. I don't know if that counts as bad technique, but it is what it is.

Wrist movement in picking...
Are you talking about flatpicking or fingerpicking? Didn't know what "Travis Picking" was.

Why not consult the masters? Film yourself and compare your wrist movement to these guys:
