Nicely played Daria.
I learned this piece from an arrangement by Per Olov-Kindgren. Your guitar does seem to have a different tone with the carbon strings. I like it.
I have been using carbons as well. For me, they seem to have moved the tone from a plinky "ukulele" tone and towards a more sustained metal string tone. My description is really exaggerated

Default You make it look easy...!!!

Greetings from New York!

Hello Daria,

Once again, a beautiful performance!

I have played this in drop D tuning and feel like the fingerings are a bit all over the place.

Do you think this key translates to less moving around to different positions?

Can you tell me where I could find Mr. Wrights arrangement!

Thanks so much!

Very nicely done, Daria! That is the first transcription in C major I've heard. I think I still prefer the transcriptions in D major (e.g., John Duarte) for the low pedal tones that are possible with 6 = D.

The strings sound very good but I think the good sounds coming from your instrument have more to do with the player than anything else!

yes, the guitar can add those extra notes that the cello can't and i missed them as well. C major works, but perhaps not as well a G for imitating the cello.

but your playing was very fine as always. looks like you have the neck elevated even more. i enjoyed listening and look forward to your next piece.

Default Bravo!

The strings sound great, but your performance is a big part of what makes them sound good. VERY nicely done!

Very nice indeed! I have to say I am not partial to the new strings and prefer whatever you used before. My 2 cents!

Yes, I very much enjoyed your playing, Thanks for posting. One thing that distracted me was that the tempo changed a bit. About 3/4 of the way through, slowed down, and at the very end speeded up.

I learned this piece a long time ago, and its still one of my favorite all time pieces. I learned in D and it would be impossible for me to change, however, I never did it with drop D.

Anyway, lovely playing. Thanks!

Lovely, Daria… I liked that. I've always enjoyed Bach's Preludes on piano. Very nice recording…
