That was very nice Glen. Your playing is nice, clear and perfectly timed. I find it helpful to watch the way you transition to your barre chords. There are some occasions when I'll play a single open note to buy me time as I move to difficult (for me) transitions. Not the case with your beautiful playing.

Thank you Paul!

I really appreciate your comments and observations! And I very much appreciate that you took the time to comment here.

It's not an easy thing, learning to place your fingers as a group onto the right spot on the fretboard. Some people say they just can't do this, but I really think a lot of getting there is a huge amount of repetition (practice) over time with a continuous effort to improve on every attempt.

Or... maybe not. Maybe I have just been lucky.

I am noticing in my old age that my finger placement on the fretboard these days is not as exact as it once was. I realize in watching close-up video of my fingers that I sometimes do a fair amount of adjusting after my fingers have landed. Maybe I have always done that and never knew it.

Thank you for the compliment on my playing, Paul. I really appreciate it.

- Glenn

Hi Carmel Cedar,

Yes, I was notified a week or two ago that the publisher had decided to block this video in the USA. Usually on YouTube, the publisher states that they may add an advertisement to the video, but for whatever reason, they are blocking this. I would sure like to understand why they made this choice. Maybe they didn't like my cover... It's hard to imagine that they thought that I would be generating too much competition for Don Henley.

Thanks for checking in on this song, CC. Sorry you can't see it.

- Glenn

Unhappy

Wow that's a disappointment. That's one "desperado" publisher!

Ha!! I think they were afraid of millions hits and 6 figure revenue it would generate.
Or it may be a blanket policy of the publishing company
Would have loved to have heard it. Carry on

Thank you Gerhard,

I'm glad you can view that video over in Germany. As others have noted on this thread just above, this video has been blocked by the publisher in the USA.

Thanks for the kind words!

I'll bet you did a fine job but YouTube now has the video blocked because of copyright issues.
