Default Crying - Roy Orbison cover

https://vimeo.com/234506822

I used to play this song a lot, so thought I'd give 'er one more go before I get too old (that ship may have already sailed). I used my J45, which thankfully is tuned down a half step, and I play it in the C position. If I tried it any higher, my ears would likely burst into flames.

When you consider that Roy played it in D and sang it in natural voice, it says what an absolutely immense talent he was. I loved the version with K. D. Lang and Roy together.

Anyway, I hope you'll give it a listen. Thanks.

Roger

Nice rendition of one of my favorites of all time.
It's a difficult song to stay in pitch. You missed in a few spots but overall well done. Hard to do what Roy does even in a lower key ain't it.

Thanks gents for taking a listen.

As rokdog pointed out, I missed a few notes, but it was fun doing it one more time. I recorded it this morning. Maybe I'll try it some evening when my voice is warmed up.

Oh well, thanks again.

Roger

Love it! One of my favorites of all time. And one of the most difficult to sing of all time. I only attempt this gem when no one is listening. And watch that "old" stuff....looks like we're around the same age.

Great job, Roger, on one of the hardest songs out there! Bonus points for being brave enough to do it on-line -- 99.999% wouldn't attempt it. Nice job!

When I saw you were covering one by Roy Orbison, I thought, “uh oh, this is going to be a train wreck.” After all, he’s one of the greatest and most unique vocalists of our time. But, I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed. Nice job.
