Thanks Jeff, appreciate the endorsement. Just had the old girl out for a spin, alternating between her and the H&D on a new song. Stonebridge definitely has a sweetness to the tone that the H&D is lacking, Stonebridge tone being a little more lush while the H&D is drier. H&D does edge her out by about 10-20% on power and volume however. Still pretty impressive, as the H&D has the cooked Adirondack top. Blows me away that there's over $3k difference between the two.

I was capo'd on the 2nd fret, the Stonebridge neck is definitely thinner, less chunky than the H&D.

Currently have both strung now with the Tony Rice Monels. No question the best string configuration for a mahogany dread, IMO.

Kinda hoping she takes a while to sell, because I'll continue to enjoy while I've got her. If she ends up as a permanent complement to my stable, that'll be ok as well.

This is like buying a Collings D1 or Martin D-18 Authentic for the price of an Eastman.

I imagine it has the torried top, like my 32sm OM, which by now would sound superb some 10 years on.

Thank you Gibby. I can't speak as to the top, but I do know this 2007 Stonebridge sounded better to me, more developed, than my newer D-18, which I also sold earlier this year. I've been working my way through various mahogany dreads in the last few months trying to find the best one, and I have to concede that, in this instance, the H&D wins the day (shocker, I know). If I could justify keeping them all, I probably would.

But this Stonebridge has definitely left a huge impression on me, so much so that, just this week, I picked up a new Stonebridge deep-body cedar/walnut OM, which I have been thoroughly enjoying since it arrived at my door yesterday morning.

Sunday bump. I'm leaving the temporary price reduction through Cyber Monday. Come Tuesday morning, will revert back to normal pricing. Thanks.
