Choose which one you like best (Decision Made See post #22)
Decision made! See post #22)
Does one top stand out as a winner? All taken with same lighting. Just curious what you think of color and grains.. Will let you know more soon. Last edited by JakeStone; 12-01-2015 at 02:46 PM. |

D, purely on appearance, although with better photos I might change my mind.

I will go with D also. I like the color of C, but there visual details aren't so appealing for that one (though it looks like there is some significant silking on C, which I have heard is associated with stiffness, and therefore positively effects tone; I'd have to hear it to decide).

Color and whatever the horizontal impressions are called of C

Not what I consider a deal breaker on any guitar, but my preference would be for D, closely followed by B.

Not enough difference to influence a decision.

This is like looking to judge a face but only being shown the detailed are around the nose. I would say I prefer C based on the limited context,

I vote for C, but mostly because it looks like the only one without toner on it.

Thanks all.
Narrowed down to C and D. I was into D before I posted. Now C is close 2nd! C D |

I'm still sold on C-- the tan with stripes. Suits my tastes very nicely

Maybe D by a whisker. But I'd be perfectly content with either and would not base a decision to purchase on the look of one over the other but on other differences the guitars might have. I think they both look great. Of course, their appearance will change with time.

C looks most "natural" to me, the darker areas make it look like red spruce almost.

C was my first choice with D a close second. It is true that they will change over time anyway.
