Default Torrified Guitars

I don't recall seeing a poll on this topic yet. How do you feel? Would you like to purchase a guitar that has been torrified?

I'm certainly sold on the one I've got.

At first, I thought, no, I'm not voting in the poll because I don't know if I'd like to buy one or not. Then I thought, yes, but I sure would like to have a Martin D-28 Authentic 1937. And today's version has a torrified top. (I'd like to have one, I just would not like to spend the money on one. I don't suppose one is just going to fall into my lap, though. Kind of like that girl that came through the window at the end of "Animal House.")

I am with Mike. I wouldn't want to pay extra for it at this point, but I sure would like to play several models against their non-torrefied breathern to have a better basis for that statement.

You're poll is missing the " got one " button.
Huss and Dalton TOM-R custom. Adirondack torrified top, a wonderful guitar.

I was really interested to see how this would possibly enhance the sound of an acoustic guitar. I put a deposit on one and the expected date kept changing and now no expected date available - I canceled.
I was trying to get an RO T 16 Recording King

Oh well...I'm still interested to know what others think of this idea and whether or not it seems to work.

Yup. Add me to that list. Here is my TD-R with cooked top and hide glue. The BEST overall guitar that I've ever owned (of over 80)

And here's mine, a Bourgeois Aged Tone Madagascar. I love it.

Yes, got one. First guitar with a cooked top. Played a few other Authentic and too much time in between playing them.

Count me in the crowd that would not mind owning one, but not likely to be buying one.
