Eric Padilla, who left SCGC started his own label (Carmel Guitar) which produced some really great guitars. He recently stopped building under that label but from what I have heard is moving into more custom builds. Anyways, I was looking for a nice mahogany guitar and saw that Brandon @ Heartbreaker Guitars had this in stock. Here's my new OM with highly figured Mahogany back and sides. Bridge and fretboard are Cocobolo so this thing is as fun to look at as it is to play. I am primarily gig with my nylon stringed guitars, but I have a ton of fun at home with my two Carmel Guitar Co OMs.

Shout out to Brandon at Heartbreaker Guitars who gave me a great deal and was super responsive. I highly recommend him!

I believe Kristijan Mattson going by the moniker "The Tallest Man on Earth" plays several Carmels. They look like top notch instruments.

Thanks. I am very impressed. Great balance, incredible headroom and good amount (but too much) of overtones. It can really stand up to a pretty aggressive attack.
