Default How to upload pictures

Posting yesterday on the 'build and repair' page I wanted to include pictures from Photobucket as I did many times before. It turned out that 3rd party hosting is no longer supported by Photobucket unless you pay quite a lot of money. I noted already problems some time ago but thought they would pass (quod non).

All this is so user unfriendly...

Has anyone a suggestion for an alternative platform?

I think most of us switched to Imgur. I like it much better and the process of posting an image is simpler than Photobucket. Downloading new images to Imgur doesn't take hours either and no incessant pop up ads.

Just uploaded this photo from Photobucket (free version). Took no time at all, no problems...

If you join the forum as a "Charter Member" you can simply upload from your computer without going through any 3rd-party platform.

I agree with all of the above. You can also use the AGF app... it's quite easy.

I am a charter member but am embarrassed to say I was not aware of this feature. Can you explain how it works?

1. Ensure file is jpg or jpeg, no larger than 600x600, and 1MB (the system will automatically resize larger images in some, but not all, cases)

2. Click on the paperclip icon

3. Click on "Choose File." Browse to the location of the file on your computer, hit "Open," and then hit "Upload"

4. Click the "Close this window" text

5. Click the paperclip icon again and click on the attachment that shows in the drop down menu. This will insert the image inline

To manage your attachments go to User CP--Miscellaneous--Attachments

Any hints as to how to upload photos on the AGF would be appreciated.

Buffleheads... my favorite ducks!

Hey, did you look at the rest of this thread? The AGF app is easy. Or try this thread. Or posting attachments (scroll down page).
