I'm surprised no one likes the tone?

I played this one for quite a while at the shop a couple of weeks ago and was pleasantly suprised the tone from it given the shallower depth. Bill's guitars with Cedar and Redwood tops seem to have much greater clarity than most with these softer top woods. Most others don't normally fit my ear, but his have nice string separation and are ever so slightly brighter than many builders for some reason. This is a good thing in my opinion, I don't like it when the mids get muddy after the strings get played in.

Bill's got a great shop now after years of building out of his basement. He's an engineer by trade and his innovations as they relate to building are pretty cool, and always "morphing". And, he's a heck of a nice guy....
