Yamaha LJ16 exact fit bone saddle/nut
HI everyone
New to the group, can anyone tell me what the part numbers are on the Yamaha parts website for upgraded bone saddles and nuts for an LJ 16? Or if anyone knows, what would be the part numbers to order from Bob Colosi for this? Preferences on who to order from. Thanks for any advice |

The Bob Colosi's Yamaha saddles are the last entry on this price list.
http://www.guitarsaddles.com/pricing.asp Colosi saddles have long been known to be the best you can buy. I've had about a half a dozen (Yamaha,Taylor,Larrivee)and always been more than satisfied. Gary Oh.............and welcome to theforum, good folks here.

Thanks for the info. Just placed an order for 2 from Yamaha.
With my hearing I can't hear the difference between this saddle and a bone saddle so why spend the extra money? This is the only one you can buy. The other 2 are not available regular resin saddle: 2 ea. QA079000 $3.06 = 6.12 + Shipping of 7.95 + .41 tax = $ 14.48 Shipping is the same if you order just 1ea. djh Last edited by djh1765; 08-30-2014 at 03:07 PM. |

I recently posted about my FG-140. I rep[laced the stock saddle with Buffalo bone. Purchased at the link below. Nut and saddle $3.25 free shipping. They need to have the same fitting as any new saddle or nut would need.
As you can see in the attached photo the saddle is slightly narrower than was the original. If you wanted to fix that, for cosmetic purposes, I'm sure you could fill in the gaps with, a small piece of rosewood shaped to fit, then glued in place with with yellow glue. I don't think it makes that much of a cosmetic difference to merit the extra work however. They fit the groove width perfectly, and are about 1/8" short on each end. I don't have close up photo, I'll take one and post it later. Here is the link to the parts. http://tinyurl.com/ogdomk3 Dan Last edited by DanPanther; 11-19-2014 at 10:22 PM. |
