average time for Custom Build
What do you think is the average time for a custom build? I am having Larrivee build, something a little different ,but nothing real special. No Bling. Just a small body cutaway. I put my order in back in the begining of November. I hate bothering these guys, they said "it will be ready when it's done " so in other stop bugging me!

Totally depends on who's doing the build - their backlog, capacity, etc.
Both my custom builds from Tom Jessen at Cricketfiddle were 6 - 8 months from concept to delivery.

For me, it is typically 150 of my hours over a 9 week period. Currently about 3 to 4 months till delivery.

A good part of that 9 weeks is spent curing and hardening glue and finish; it's not like he works 3 hour days.

I had a 2 year wait before mine started and it took 5 months of actual build time. However, I was informed ahead of time and of any delays to schedule so I knew what was happening. I'm not sure I'd be all that happy with "it'll be ready when it's ready"

We are currently running an 18 month backlog on orders from deposit to delivery. We typically contact our customers ~4 months prior to starting their build and Mary keeps them connected throughout the build process with hundreds of pictures.

I ordered a custom Larrivée 3 weeks ago and I was told 4-6 months. Looks like you're in that range right now.
