Default ToneDexter new firmware release

Version 1.20 released Aug 7, 2017

Feature Enhancements

WaveMaps created in slot 22 are special in that the corrections to improve feedback immunity are skipped. This results in the most realistic miked sound which may be more useful for recording purposes. These WaveMaps can be pasted into any storage location.

Bug Fixes

none

Could this still be used live or would it feedback too much?

Congrats on a very admirable enhancement.

Will it be necessary to be more careful about the training environment with the WaveMaps which are optimized for home recording?

You've mentioned previously that room reflections aren't a big factor with the WaveMaps which are optimized for live performance. I'm thinking that might still be the case with the recording optimized WaveMaps, if the only difference is that resonant frequency levels aren't reduced for the recording optimized WaveMaps.

It would feedback more than you'd want. It simply forgoes the corrections that give less feedback in favor of the most realistic mic sound which would be more convincing on a recording where feedback doesn't matter.

No need to be more careful during training. You're correct in your thinking: room reflections are not a big factor in either case. The only difference is indeed that resonant peaks are left intact in the resultant WaveMap.
