Default from canada been writing for 27 years...

well I'm uncovering a bunch of songs that I had forgotten that I even had. here are three gems. all done on Collings guitars and some with a MJ Huss and Dalton

https://soundcloud.com/the-hurley-jam/sets/acoustic

done with the Iphone. I don't even think I used a mic. just the phone and headphones. I'm sure I was playing a V-pick (probably the venom). older but still clean strings. Original songs all three.

do you feel it's missing something? additional parts? I don't know what way to go. Piano? drums and organ? mandolin??

What I'm hearing is fun although a tad confusing....sort of a long, conceptual art style jam. Sounds fine acoustically and you are a nice player.

As for the poll, that too is confusing. While the iPhone certainly is not a toy, the answer to the other questions sort of depends on what your goals are. The tracks can be great for practice, perfectly acceptable for sharing, and if you really know what you are doing (good digital mic in a quiet space) the fidelity can be rather impressive.

As for which way to go, I'd vote for shorter, more defined compositions/songs.

Thank you for listening. I actually agree with you. And it's not an easy thing to pool. I actually coined the phrase of the music as slow motion break dancing music !

the playlist was missing two songs. the last part was an exercise with some v-picks and nice guitars.

the songs are up now if anyone wants to hear.

I couldn't answer as I have no idea. I've heard of garageband, of course, as to its capabilities. Couldn't really say. To me, a phone is a poor tool for making music, so I'd tend to view such apps as toys. Is garage band even available for all phones or is it limited to bits of fruit?
