Default AGF Showcase of Talent, June 2014: Bob Dylan songs!

The June SOT is ready to roll! This month we will focus on songs either written by, or performed by, Bob Dylan. That also includes the Traveling Wheelberries or any group he may have played in.

No, you don't have to try and imitate his singing.

This is not a competition. All people who post a video or sound file of a Dylan song that you perform will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card to Sweetwater Music. Finger style, flatpicking, solo, as a group, beginner or pro, everyone is welcome as long as the video is of YOU and features the acoustic guitar. Other instruments are welcome as a backup.

Many thanks to Sweetwater for sponsoring this!

Thanks to Randon1643 for talking to Sweetwater and arranging the donation!

Lets get those songs posted!

Todd

Default Blind Willie McTell

Here is my version of Dylan's "Blind Willie Mctell." As far as I know, this is only to be found on his Bootleg set and he does it on piano, of all things!

That sounded lovely. Never heard the original and wouldn't immediately have guessed it was Dylan from your version, which is a compliment to you.

You really got a lot of emotion into that piece, great stuff!

I haven't played this one in a long time so it's pretty rough:

"Make You Feel My Love"

I guess the poll wasn't really closed out - it now shows Dylan with 31 votes, British Invasion 35 votes and old country @ 34 votes.

I can't find a way to close it out. I have tried editing my post but it doesn't give me the option of closing the poll.

I closed the poll. If you can remember the exact vote count I can change the numbers to reflect the count you saw when you wanted it to end so that there's no confusion.

Thanks Jeremy! I think it was something like 38 for Dylan, 37 for the other two.
