Wireless legalities question...
Discussion on another thread reminded me that my wireless is out-of-date regarding the frequency. Don't remember how old it is (probably 90's) but I'm sure that it's pre-FCC change.
I get that companies and stores can't sell these any longer, but if I'm out at a gig using my old wireless, are the FCC police going to bust me? What's the practical deal?

No, you won't get busted. You are grandfathered in. Its just you can't sell the mic to anyone, at least to a store. I'm sure a million other people are still using pre FCC everything.

As long as you don't play Freebird, Stairway to Heaven, or anything Jimmy Buffett, you should be fine -

You may find that at some point you are picking up someone else's signal - a Bluetooth device, or cell phone or something. Have a wired option ready, just in case.
