+1 on the CAD M179. These are phenomenal mics, particularly at the price (don't let that fool you). Extremely quiet. I'm using them and a CAD VX2 (dual tube mic that about 10x the cost of the M179). I also have an AT4033a, but find the CAD M179s get more action (not least as they're multipattern - great for MS, etc).

Have you considered the RNP (Really Nice Preamp). Transparent and clean. Would pair nicely with the NT2.
