Newbie Looking for Simple Recording Device
Hi,
I'm looking into purchasing a small, easy to use portable recording device for home use. What I need is something very basic (and relatively inexpensive) that I can use to record some chords or riffs as they pop into my head. I've seen these on the Musician's Friend and Guitar Center Web sites, but have no idea which one to get. Here are some examples: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Portable...cording.gc?o=6 Could someone please recommend a good quality, basic, small starter portable recording device? Thanks for the help! |

Even better, look into a Zoom H2 http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/H2/

I will second the Zoom H2. You can do a lot with it. I delayed buying it for a while as I was not sure about investing a couple hundred. I am glad I did as it has served me well.

Borrow your kid's ipod. It actually works pretty well.

Tascam Dr-07
Does anyone know anything about the TASCAM DR-07 portable recording unit? A friend suggested that I look into getting one, and they've gotten great reviews.

RE: Zoom H2
BTW, thanks for the suggestion on the Zoom H2. I'll take a look at that the next time I go to the local GC.
