Julian Bream - My Life in Music
In English with Spanish subtitles, this is a 2 hour documentary by Julian Bream. Very interesting so far (I've listened to the first hour to this point). What a nice story. I hope you find it interesting as well.

JB is one of the true greats in the guitar world!!!
He also has a great book "A Life On The Road", def worth a read if you can get your hands on a copy. |

I'm coming up on the end of it myself right now, and I was fascinated about how things came about for him at the different stages of his life.
I love how passionate he is while playing, as opposed to the sense I get about John Williams, who I think is known to be very technical. He's a great player, but watching the two of them together during the show and in other times I've seen them on youtube, Williams seems to be more studious, where Bream is totally passionate. I love passion, especially in guitar players. |

Have seen this before, it is great. One of my favorite players. I was lucky enough to see him back in the 80's. There is a fulidity about his playing that just puts me at ease whereas some players are so technically sound they come off stiff and ridgid. Love Breams consort and Lute stuff as well.

Of the "holy trinity" of 20th century classical guitarists... Bream was always my favorite. I felt that he was a great melding of Segovia's feel and Williams' technical prowess.
Looking forward to watching this when I have time this weekend. On a similar note... is anyone aware of any biographical material on Sabicas out there? He's always been my favorite flamenco artist. |

I can't view it either.
I had the chance to see Julian on his last US tour. His was the only performance I've been to, that (not ashamed to say) brought me to tears. |

Bream
I was in the vicinity of his old house where some of the video was filmed, so thought I would go and take a look.
His new house is a stones throw away so thought I would take a look at that, and nearly bumped in to him, not sure if I would have spoken to him if I did |
