Default Carvin ag300 Question

Been looking at one of these to do some of my smaller solo gigs. I have a great Bose System and it's easy enough to set up and performs very well.

That being said there are some really small places I play solo and not with my trio that it can almost be overkill and a pain to find a place to put it. Sometimes it's a low ceiling issue where the Bose tower won't fit.

My main question is do you think the ag300 would handle a porchboard bass pedal very well?

I'm not after Thunderous bottom end but would like it to be able to reproduce some thud and not fart-out.

Keep in mind if I need to set up the Bose with the B2 Bass module I'm more than happy to do so but looking for an alternative to it for some places.

I need 3 real channels for 1 Vox, 1 Guitar and the Porchboard.

If anyone can make a educated guess at what this might do for me then please chime in.

As always thanks for the input!

Plenty of thud and thump in the AG300. I put a porchboard through mine all the time. Not as deep as a sub but fine for most uses.

My opinion is that it would work great for your set up. I use mine in a similar fashion often with bass guitar as well.

Thanks for sharing. Sounds like this should work very well for my needs.

It should. Keep in mind that the third channel has fewer functions than the other two. I run a Tech 21 Bass Driver for my bass into the third input, freeing two channels for phantom power if needed.

Thanks, Yes I had seen this. The porchboard would probably end up in this channel as it does not require a good deal of EQ to make it do what it does best. A nice thud!

I agree that it should work well. The speaker configuration is exactly the same as one of their bass amps and even with the different frequency centers on the AG300, it still works pretty well as a bass amp
