Default I just got home from Bruce Petros' shop

I put my cash on the barrel head. Bruce is going to start a walnut, redwood
Grand concert 12 fret for me. It will have some Celtic touches and a butternut neck.
Yikes now the wait.

Did you take any pictures while you were there? were any pieces selected for your guitar? I love that guy.

Congrats!

I've been wanting to tour Bruce's shop for a while in Kaukauna but have not taken the time. Frankly, I don't have the "disposable income" to be considered a buyer... but I'd have a heck of a time looking around.

Keep us informed on the build.

My photo studio shoots all his guitars so I'll have some shot asap.
It is called his ultralight. http://petrosguitars.com/gallery/Pet...tra_light.html

He is using some Celtic knot flexible Purfling around the sound hole . Very cool.

I believe that's one of his specialties. Sounds great. Congrats.

Congratulations! A very good choice of specifications as well, may I add. You have more experience with Petros guitars than I do, so you'll doubtless know that you're in for a treat!

My goodness, he really is coming out with great new stuff all time. I would really like to one day visit him as well to order another guitar from him. Now I only have to find something that either the Petros GC or FS can't do to justify a 3rd one. I'll make something up eventually

We're looking forward to pictures! From a professional photographer, no less!

I am also a big fan. One of my magical moments was when a great local player, Terry Lees, played the Ziricote/Cedar GC that he subsequently bought. I was at the other end of my store and out of sight. I had put out about five guitars for Terry to try. When he picked it up and started playing I knew instantly that it was the one for him. I have never heard such a perfect match. There's still photos of it on my website (and a few others).

imwjl,

We just talked about Madison this morning. I think we are going north for a last snow shoe outing. Thanks for setting the get together up.

Default Congratulations from a fellow Petros guitar owner!

Hi Rollie,
Congrats on your Petros to be! Your post caught my eye because I am the proud owner of 2 Petros guitars that I enthusiastically play for hours each day!
Both are 12 fret Grand Concert models, one with T-13 redwood&walnut thats hauntingly cavernous and rustic sounding, the other a master grade Italian and old growth Brazilian is a real cannon possessing a tone thats sweet as wild mountain honey! VAVOOM! Clik on the Petros page blog to see my beauties and read the story of my journey with master luthier Bruce Petros.

Enjoy the process!

Bungalow,

You have some nice Petros'. I have played many of the Tunnel 13's. Wonderful.

I have an fs model and am looking forward to the 12 fret being built.
