This guitar popped into my head out of the clear-blue-nowhere just now.

Did it ever get finished?

The closeups are fantastic and really showcase the craftsmanship that sets Kim apart from all other builders. I'm still lost about the "scrap" idea, though. Where were you going with that...was it that you just didn't want to cover otherwise amazing figure with black paint....?

I just wanted to use unsightly wood that a luthier otherwise would not use. Plus, I like black guitars!
