There was an earlier run (late '80s & early '90s) where "P" stood for "Low Profile Neck" so some of those models pop up from time to time as well.

This is a very comfortable neck with 1 3/4" nut and 2 1/4" string spacing. The volute, open geared tuners were part of this performers/players series. Great feel.

Obviously, these Martins excell at flatpicking but what is very pleasantly surprising about this one is that it is very vibrant and plays so well in finger-style applications. The previous (original) owner took great care of it and as he told me, has really opened up. The top is a beautiful orange hue as well.

If I were not so rich in dreadnaughts, I would absolutely keep this one. She's gonna make someone (not just some flatpicker) mighty happy.

Friday night bump. This is a special Martin both in how comfortable it feels and plays and the tonal characteristics. Classic Martin drive with a pick. But will surprise you in fingerstyle applications.
