Thanks Scallywag! I removed the time schedule building this guitar and am proud of the result. My plan is to take this approach and apply it to my other models. I'm about a month in on my Grand Auditorium Greta model now.

Default Sound Samples

Charlie was over yesterday to do some sound samples. I was very happy with his comments and response which served to confirm my impressions. He remarked this was the most versatile guitar he's played of mine so we tried to capture that with these samples;

On this sample I think this is the first time I've ever recorded one of my guitars actually being strummed with a guitar pick;

Of course I should say these are strait unedited recordings. They were done with 2 Rode nt1 mics through a Juicedlink preamp directly into my Canon camera

Watching your build, I ran out of superlative adjectives earlier in the thread, Mark.

Looks great, sounds great, great job! I am sure you are proud of this one.

Wow, for the voice and performance of this guitar!

It articulates exceptionally well with a light fingerstyle touch and holds up to a heavier strum just as well. What a versatile and beautiful guitar you have created. Someone is going to be head-over-heels for this one.

...maybe one day.

Kudos, Mark!

Mark, it sounds as good as it looks, what a wonderful result. Charlie is a great player and really brings something to this thread to draw it to a conclusion. Thanks for bringing us along on this journey.

Thanks Ian, Thanks for your comments and following along. Now I just need to sell it! I'll be featuring it for this year's Monadnock Art tour which is coming up Oct 7-9th. We have 50 artist studios that open to the public and get quite a crowd. This is also a wonderful time to visit New Hampshire because it's our peak autumn leaf color season.

Mark,
I hope to make it to the art tour, this is way out of my league but I can certainly appreciate what a wonderful instrument you have created/crafted. I don't have the vocabulary to find the appropriate words, but wow! And congratulations!

Thanks and if you make it out be sure to tell me who you are! If you can't make it to the tour, you're welcome to come out for a personal tour.
