Help finding a light weight passive magnetic
Hey guys, I need your help in finding a Magnetic sound hole pickup that fits my needs:
This will be a secondary pickup only for loud situations where the Trance Audio Amulet in my Advanced Jumbo are too sensitive and I need the feedback resistance of a magnetic. I want to leave it permanently installed (weight, passive), and simply plug in the cable when needed (detachable cable). So the three criteria are:
Tone isn't a major consideration (The Baggs M80 would have been nice, but it's too bulky)

I think the Fishman Neo D would have been perfect (light and small) but it seems their cables aren't detachable.

I've read really great things about the passive DiMarzio Angel but I don't know what the weight of this pickup is or how it differs in size compared to the Baggs pickups.
I do know that although size is about the same that the Baggs M1 passive seems to be lighter in weight than the M80 as I have one of each of these.

Thanks Benderman,
I have a Dimarzio Angel currently. great tone, too heavy though.. I'll look into the passive M1, but even if it's light, it looks quite deep. I'm looking for the smallest, flattest , lightest mags there is

I am looking for an DiMarzio Angel to try if you decide you want to part with yours let me know. I use these passive mags in conjunction with my Takamine Cool Tube equipped guitars as a second source. I've tried about everything out there other than the Angel. Good luck in your search!

Mi-Si Magpie. It is active but recharging the pickup is quick and easy. Also if you can find an original old school Bill Lawrence soundhole pickup. The ones with the cursive Lawrence font are ones that are better quality and better sounding. Though using the Lawrence you would need to use a magnetic string for an even string balance. I found GHS white bronze work best for that and John Pearse pure nickel have been my second choice for the Lawrence.

Probably a moot point but I wanted to see what the difference was in pickup height between the M1 Passive & M80.
The M1 is about 1/4 less height for a total of right around 1 & 3/4 Inches. The M80 comes out closer to 2" Height. Like I said not really what you are after but if anyone else was wanting to know.
