Default Inlaying Topwood Marquetry

Thought you might want a peek at the progress on #3 "The Peach"
Now that the box is closed I am now prepping to do some top wood inlay or "Marquetry"
Some of the design;

The wood I selected is from a Rockler Veneer sample pack. Very tin, perfect for the project.

By doing both colors at the same time my cuts match. I put green tape on the backing to prevent tear out while cutting with a brand new razor blade
Also, I did shellac the Veneer for added strength and so the colors would not bleed during the gluing up. Wax paper is your friend.
I made a slurry of Walnut dust and Titebond with a drop of water to thin. I used this to fill in any pin holes between the joined woods.
Here it is ready for sanding and clean up

Approximate locations. Ready to dig some top wood out......
