If I had to pick between the stands Larry posted and the take a stand stands I would have to pick the one's larry posted for my needs. How ever for the slight difference in price a few bills I might just as easily go with the take a stand one if I wasn't afraid that someone would knock it over ( I have marble floors and falls always break things.)
That said I started buying really expensive cases and keeping my acustic guitars in them due to the number of guitars I have as well as the climate affecting things like action and tone on my classical's. If it were no for this I would have every guitar on a stand just waiting to be played

$555 for a guitar stand? Are people out of their minds? I pay <$20 and have never had a guitar hit the floor.
Hey, for a small fee I have a few lovely bridges available for sale.

It's not always about the instrument not hitting the floor.
