Default Fishman Loudbox Artist

Hey guys! I am a traveling singer-songwriter. I currently have a fishman loudbox. It has been wonderful for small, open floor plan type venues. I recently had to play for a larger event and ran a powered speaker out of the Direct Mix Out. It was sufficient but I would like to hear if any of you have Frankensteined anything together that is portable and does great dispersing quality sound. Can't afford the jbl eon or Bose systems yet.

I've used the direct out to my Yamaha StagePas and it worked / sounded great.

Love my Fishman Artist BTW.

I was thinking about selling my SA220 and purchasing the Artist but decided against it, instead purchasing the Mini.

Wonderful amp the Artist, congrats mate.

I use a Fishman Artist as my monitor and run the direct out to a pair of Alto Troupers. They're great speakers and I've yet to need anything bigger.

Yep! ...and if you like, add a sub-woofer and you got one heck of a system.

I have an Artist as my backup/home studio...as a full-time musician I carry with me and mainly use one or two Loudbox Performers linked up and/or an additional Presonus Air10...plenty of punch & power that I need since many of my shows are outside. This gives me a lot of versatility to the many different size & type venues I play at, plus easy to quickly dial in a nice sound.

An Artist with a pair of Air10's would be excellent, lite-weight and portable.

Best wishes,

eric

I use the Artist performer on stage as a monitor. Run it direct out to my mixer from the Fishman which goes to my FOH mains and I also put it lightly through my onstage monitors. The Performer gives me a better sound than if I just plugged in directly.

Plus I have my Taylor 812 Ce 12 fret in input one connected to my Fishman Aura Channel 1 & my Breedlove American Ce 25 on Channel 2. Both are dialed in on the Fishman for Volume & EQ for each guitars tendencies and when I swap guitars the EQ is set up perfectly through my mixer.....

This is a question I was going to bring up, actually. With an electric guitar amp, using the line-out tends to be less than optimal and it tends to sound harsh. I've used my Loudbox-Mini as a stage monitor that I line-out to the board but I wasn't able to truly tell how it sounded out in the house. Do acoustic amps work better as preamp/DIs than electric amps or is still better to run it into a outboard/preamp DI to feed the house?

+1 for this arrangement-plenty of headroom and a great deal of potential for adjusting the parameters at the mains.

I found that my artist works wonderfully as a di. Just as good as the fishman di I already have. I am now using it as a monitor and a di into a rented eon one for my larger outdoor gigs.

Thank you. I may be purchasing one of these soon. They look perfect for the medium sized venues I will be playing this summer. Any sub advice?
