Good thing you’re retiring from teaching, I hope you may eventually be able to adapt to normal adult society and never, ever have to use dreadful new wurdz like “chilaxin” again.

I'll be retired. I'll be piddling around with a few projects here at the house. I'll still own an office building so will do the same there.

Play lots of guitar, maybe actually be good at it someday.

Play some golf. Aggravate the grandkids. Avoid getting on Mrs DB's nerves

Spend a chunk of the winter on the Texas islands.

Do some charity work, specifically teaching low income people about finance.

Make an effort to leave the world in a better place than I found it.

I hope to be doing pretty much the same things I am doing now. For instance, this week I have
  • taken a group of handbell ringers to a state-wide festival
  • led musical worship
  • presented a musical program for about 75 enthusiastic new friends
  • spent some "hug time" with two beautiful granddaughters, and those tall people they hang out with
  • helped them put up a fence so they can get a dog or two
  • enjoyed the beautiful, warm, sun shiny days by spending time carving turns in my little road worthy go cart, a Polaris Slingshot
  • eaten some great food
  • played bass guitar in a concert for about 200 performers, our final concert before taking our show on the road to England and Wales next month (felt strange to shift back to bass, having played guitar in the group for the past few years)
  • visiting my doctors only for routine checkups, having them tell me "see you next year"
Oh, I know many things can change in five years, but I'm thoroughly enjoying life as it is, and as it comes, one opportunity at a time!

In 5 years , hopefully still upright. Hope to have some grandkids to spoil rotten

My plan, God willing, is to retire in a year and a half.
Spend the winters in Florida.
Be a blessing to my grandkids, family, and friends.
Sleep more.
Breathe fresh air.
Enjoy every day.
Read and meditate on the word daily.
Play tennis every day.
Enjoy fine wines.
Laugh.
Play guitar.
Smell the roses.

Started a band last summer, members range in age from 63 to 75 - hoping to be around to open for the Stones on their 2023 World Tour...

In 5 years I'll be 78 so I will be happy to be still here, in good health, playing one of my guitars and teaching my grandchildren to play

Still working as my retirement account took a big hit during the recession. But, that's life. Being healthy, mentally and physically, is the most important to me

Everybody whose retirement fund was in the market got hit like that. I certainly did.

I expect it to take another hit next year when we leave the EU.

Atv present we're getting by.

After last year's cancer scare - I'm just hoping I'll be around for another five years, to beat my dad.

I think I'll be wishing I were five years younger.
