Talking NGD - National Duolian

I just picked up this beauty from a sale on my local Craiglist in northern Illinois. Sorry for the crappy background, but I've been playing it all day and just can't put it down to find a less distracting setting.

I've been playing this all afternoon with a big goofy grin on my face.

Congrats, nice find! I know that goofy grin feeling, I have a 1935 Duolian, they are the BOMB! Yours is GORGEOUS, I like that finish better than most I've seen.

Put it in DADGAD, put a slide on it (or not) and it will knock your socks off!

I like my Duolian better than my Style 2 tricone. It has a haunting, soul stirring quality.

Yep, these right here are, as they, the bees knees! I played one at a studio here in Nashville a few months back and can't say enough about how great they sound. For some reason these built in 2016 sound better or just as good as the old Duolians. National really found their mojo with these simple yet powerful resonators. If you get a chance to buy one, DO IT!

Very nice!
I really want to play one of these, I've only had the chance to play the Gretch and Dobro all metal resonators.
I need to hear/feel the difference I think.
