Played one, not impressed. Also played the Santana SE, same feelings. It is a PRS, but feels, I don't know, cheaper and less substantial. Both sounded acceptable through amps, but I just wouldn't consider any of the SE.

But, I've been a long time user and fan of the REAL PRS line. Maybe someone without that history would be a better reviewer.

Well I loe PRS guitars, and while the SE line is not really comparable to the American made PRS' I think they are great guitar, no, the best guitars in that price range.

I've played both the Santana and Tremonti SE and for $399 there is no better value out there. In fact I'm currently looking at a Santana SE that soudn amazing, but it's one of the first run made in 2000 not the new ones with ugly pickgaurd. IMHO.

Try one out for your self and see. Also check out the comments on the PRS forum: www.prsforum.com

Lots of Tremoti SE fans over there. just don't expect it to be like an American made PRS, you'll be disappointed.

You know a spell check only works when you use it.

But would www.preforum.com have triggered the spellcheck anyway?

I'd like an SE to play live, since I don't like the idea of taking my PRS's away from home and their "Hermetically Sealed Environment "

It's just too hard to bring them out into the land of nicks, scratches, and spilled beers .
