Uh-huh! That's what often done in bar 11, but could be done in bar 1 too, I guess! A blues with no tonic anywhere - cool! (But hardly "blues" any more, IMO...)

¡ It's In The Right Hand Rhythm Technique !
Excerpt :
Quote:
Hey there mr.beaumant : ¡ Right out of my Keith Wyatt Jump Jive & Swing Videos ! I had been searching these types of arrangements for playing west coast jump/blues , jump/swing & swing/rock-a-billy . The Freddy Green approach was really a major revelation to me , Keith Wyatt explained it so clearly and easily for me to beginning to understand and approach doing . Beside the four & three not triads , the rhythmic consistency in your right hand's constant time keeping is the key to keeping the flavor/groove going at all times . EZ : HR

Don't forget you have to have someone scrubbing around with brushes and a seriously demented bass player behind you to make the transition complete

Aren't all bass players demented?

Hey that's my favourite scale! The half-demented scale. (The wholly demented scale is obviously twice as cool, but it's tough to keep track of...)
Q. How many bass players does it take to change a light bulb? A. None. The pianist can do it with his left hand. (Nice playing above, btw. I can't help feeling Substitute Teacher Blues needs some lyrics...)
