Default Fernando Sor Etudes op.35 (complete, 24 videos)

So it comes to an end this cycle of 24 exercises op.35 by Fernando Sor with the bittersweet study in E minor. Here's the playlist with all the 24 studies of op.35 by Sor.

Thank you for the feedback Zippychip! Luckily this was the last video of Sor for now.

Default Sor

Nice to hear the Sor Op. 35 on a period reproduction guitar. Really gives you a good idea how they likely sounded during Sor's lifetime. Nice guitar, btw.

i really like your videos--thanks for alerting folks to them....your playing is lovely and i LOVE the sound and look of your guitar.....

i can't afford a romantic-era guitar, authentic or reproduction, but enjoy the sounds of smaller-bodied nylon-strung guitars...

i play my A&L Ami nylon (650 mm scale but 0-size body) and Strunal 3/4-size guitar as much as my two 'normal'-size classicals...and hope to get a requinto soon.

the depth and sonority of 'traditional classical' tone is lovely, but so is the sweeter lilting tone which smaller guitars afford.

Have to reiterate what others are saying, enjoyed watching your videos, watched a few over the last day or two and you are doing a great job. You clearly have a lot of talent and do a better job than most sharing your gift.

This is my way of thinking as well. Great videos and playing, and the "period" instrument adds to the theme.

This is beautiful work. As I listen and watch I see an admirable level of dedication and skill. I also see/hear a Kabuki theater-like living art form, one that remains true to its origins and adds joy to the present. Thank you.
