Default The Glory of Love - arranged by Stefan Grossman

Hey Gang,

I have learnt a lot from this forum over the last 16 months when I decided to pick up the acoustic guitar again after a much too long hiatus. I've also been able to listen to some incredible guitar playing on show and tell! So thanks everyone!

After a lot of lurking I finally have something to share; a fun little song that i always liked.

Grossman call's this arrangement of The Glory of Love "a version of Big Bill Broonzy's filtered through Blind Blake and Rev. Gary Davis, played in the key of C".

I appreciate all comments and critiques.

Have a wonderful day.

Well played George. A nice bouncy beat with good note emphasis. And that Larrivee hog is just right for this song. Stefan would be proud.

I couldn't get the Glory of Love to load (Youtube stated "There has been an error") but I thoroughly enjoyed Ragpickin'. Lovely touch and accuracy and playing. I'm working through Saslow's book at the moment and shall look forward to tackling this tune.

Kind regards
Derek

Really well played George. Lovely mellow sound.
Well done - thanks for sharing.
You remind me a lot of Steve Baughman - a favourite guitarist of mine.

Very, VERY nice. I also like Keb Mo's version (from the One Fine Day soundtrack)

Thanks for the kind feedback. And yes, indeed a hog, a D-03.

Thanks for the kind words. I've listened to you before and I dig a lot of your repertoire. I'm sure you'll have fun with Ragpickin'.
