SOLD Beneteau Concert Standard, Arm rest, Sound port
Here is a lightly used, decked out Beneteau Concert Standard. It has an arm rest and sound port with an Adirondack top and Cocobolo back and sides. This is one of the most responsive guitars I have played. The Adirondack with the sound port have a great shimmer. If it is not your style, the guitar comes with a sound port cover. The Cocobolo works perfectly with the shimmer of the Adi and adds a nice low end to fill out the sound.
The guitar is lightly used and only played fingerstyle. There are some small pin marks where a pickguard would be. I can try to get pictures, but they may not even show up. I am looking for $5250 for the guitar. Feel free to PM with any questions. I have lots of good deals on the forums and am happy to provide references. Here is a link to the Music Emporium where I bought the guitar. Beneteau Concert Standard Last edited by powerball13; 09-30-2018 at 12:21 AM. Reason: updated price |

Beneteau Concert Standard
Even though Marc has quietly made over 800 guitars, nice pre-owned ones like this Concert Standard don't show up for sale too often, and for good reason. Most owners, like myself, are enjoying their Beneteau guitars immensely. My Concert Standard has held up extremely well in all aspects. The playability is still superb and the sound keep getting better. The action has not changed at all, even though the guitar is lightly built. Marc's guitars are extremely responsive (mine is noticeably louder than my other guitars), dynamic and have a nice woody sound with sparkling trebles. My Concert Standard has monster bass, sweet overtones and is great in DADGAD (where I leave it tuned). I can't say enough good things about Marc's guitars. The side sound hole with cover is a nice touch, too.
Do you know in what year your Beneteau Concert Standard was made? Best of luck for a quick sale. I'm sure the new owner will be very happy.

Thanks for the kind words and I totally agree about Marc.
I bought it new at the end of 2014 and believe it was finished earlier that year. I am happy to check the serial number and follow up with Marc if need be. Thanks! |

Beneteau guitar dating system
First, Beautiful Beneteau, I have one and can not imagine not having it - they are great Marc is a superb builder.
I had emailed Marc regarding the date of my guitar and below is an edited bit of that email and how to date your Beneteatu. The serial number on mine is 140203 Brian________________________________________ From Marc Beneteau: My serial # system, which I have been using since the late 1970's is simply the day, month and year that I stamp the block. This is not strictly accurate because I have normally built 5 or even 6 guitars at a time. Because of this I stamp them to read one day apart. If I'm doing this at the end of the month some can spill over into the next month. Soooooooooo…..140203 means the 14th day of February, 2003. I like this system because it dates the guitar accurately and the numbers never repeat themselves. Perfec! Last edited by BKENNA; 10-26-2016 at 06:00 PM. |

Wow that is a beauty. I had one of Marc's honduran rosewood that was among the best few I have played. He knows how to get that tone.........

Another bunch of kudos for Marc's rare-on-AGF guitars. Mine is a fantastic M model Lutz/BRW. It has a unique voice and a note to note separation that many strive for but don't attain. And he's a gentleman to boot!
GLWS, someone's going to love this guitar.
