Norway spruce is the same thing as European spruce.... I would imagine it has the potential to be some very nice stuff.

I would love to see some pix as well.... You know - since you were able to get some decent tops and all...

The first 2 pics best represent the actual color . This wood is very white .

Now , to start digging through the rest of this stash .
Bring it in and let it acclimate for a few days then cut and hope .

Looks like they definitely have some character. The feedback I have gotten is that a lot of folks don't really like the looks of "flawless" Master/AAAA stuff because it looks like white card stock/ printer paper. There's nothing interesting to catch your eye. I have to say I like the stuff with some color streaks better.

They look a little wide grained.... That's not a bad thing though.

Some of the best guitars I have built have quite wide grain tops with a lot of character.

Thanks

This tree grew here in town .
It certainly isn't alpine .
It is very similar to much of the Adi that I have seen in that the growth rings are very close to one side to wider as they cross the width of the board .
It's obvious that the tree grew at a faster rate as it got older and had more surface area to the outside of the trunk .
I need to devise a light box so I can candle this stuff .
I also need to sand some of this so as to be able to see the medullaries properly .
