Default New song with my 1975 Pacemaker 12-string

Here's a song I wrote called We Are Home, featuring my 1975 Pacemaker, tuned to C# Standard.

Good songwriting and nice production there! How were you monitoring that backing track when recording... or did you add that later?

Thanks so much! It's a really simple setup, which has been working surprisingly well for me. I sit in front of two mics, into a Focusrite and into two channels in Audition. (I don't use a metronome because I like the looser live feel.) Then I record a few backups and then play along on drums using a Roland TD-4 electric kit.

That's the way to play that thing! Well done! Love the subtle little *bing* stuck in there at the appointed spots. The lyrics and vocals too!

I really appreciate the encouragement!

Here's the newest song featuring the Pacemaker...some fingerpicking this time. I think the guitar shines even more in this one.

Cool tune! I like it. I'm still intrigued by your approach - reverse from how most people would do it but it works and you're getting a good sound and staying pretty close to tempo too.

Thanks!

To my ear, the second one especially has a few minor tempo issues...but I'd rather have that than perfectly metronomed--I like the live / looser feel.

I'm probably as surprised as anyone that it's working! Haha. But I liked the idea of documenting the live recordings/performances, then embellishing them a bit.
