Default Your Favorite Trebles?

I think that on the whole, the bass set of strings in any set of nylon string sets are good. It's the trebles that seem to be problematic. They just don't seem to last that long.

So far, I love the Oasis Normal tension Nylon Strings (yes, the same company that makes the humidifiers). I get pretty decent life out of them.

I would like to experiment with just replacing my trebles. Any suggestions?

Savarez Alliance HTs. Every time! Or if you prefer normal tension, Savarez NT Alliance!

I'll echo itself. But, I use HT on the classical and NT on the cross-over. Tried the HT on the cross-over and the trebles sound attenuated. They sound much better on that guitar with NTs.

Even the Savarez trebles are carbon, the KFs. That's why I love the Oasis ones, carbon monofilament. These seems to be a good choice for trebles.

D'Addario Pro Arte EJ44C Composites (with the composite G-string instead of the regular G that also comes in the pack). It's all I've been buying for the past 8 months (and I change my strings for every gig).

Default Ditto

Ditto on on the Oasis Carbon GPX Trebles (normal tension). By far my favorites (mainly for use on my old Martin nylon guitars).

I have the opposite problem. The wound bass strings get dull sounding first. One set of trebles will last as long as two sets of bass strings for me. But to answer your question I like the D'Addario Pro Arte trebles.

That's actually a normal wear pattern for nylon strings - basses wearing before the trebles. You can order bass-only sets.....
