Default Make a Custom Adjustable Spaced Pair Bar!

Here's a quick photo of a completely adjustable spaced pair bar. I can copy and paste the directions for how it's made, but you'll get more info from my website about how to make the shock mounts used with the bar. You can adjust the mics from 11" to 18" apart and at any desired angle, so you could use it for many situations other than spaced pair, too.



I like a lower stand, but not "drum" height, so I cut down the cheap generic tripod stands to be 24" high and shorten the too long boom accordingly. The stand and spaced pair mount can be done for somewhere south of $30 total.

I made this bar after I got tired of trying to cobble something up from my shorter store-bought or wrestling with two separate stands. It pretty much covers all the bases for me.

Very Cool dude .

I use a Bar from a Photography supply store , and some 1/4" to 5/8" adapters
to attach the Mic holders to . But Handmade always wins
