Cool What are your new Toys ?

Just picked up a Zoom H2n , I have the H4n and have used it to the point where the Buttons are worn

But I needed a Smaller pocketable recorder to take on Bike rides with me for the Just in case Recording session,
Enter the H2n ........

Initial impressions
1 : Startup Time = Unbelievably Fast
2 : Instantly ready to record as that it goes directly to Monitor mode
3 : 1 button push to record , not 2 ...... Set levels , Push Record , That is it .
4 : 20 Hour Battery Life ...Oh My Yes did I want that , The H4n don't go there
5 : M/S Recording in RAW M/S format so you can process in Post
6 : Fits in my Jacket pocket nicely.
7 : Sounds Pretty darn Good for what it is ( This isn't Studio level gear OK !)
8 : Works as a USB Mic /interface for Skype or whatever

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cons

1 : Plastic Cheap feeling Construction unlike the H4n which is nice and hefty
2 : see number 1 above
3 : Looks to much like an Electric Razor ........
4 : See number 1 above
5 : You have to buy the accessory kit separately . But is needed.
6 : Headphone Driver is weak
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But for its Price ,..... If Your a Musician , You need one just to catch the Ideas when you get them , It is nearly instant on and ready to record , You gotta love that .

I am not disappointed in the purchase at all. The First thing I did when I got it was connect to the net download the latest firmware and install it before even testing it out .

The Menus are pretty much the same as the H4n so I didn't even look at the manual , Intuitive .

Next on the list is an AKG C214 , Studio Mic that will be here in a couple days
Got it used for about 200 US , in good shape , All original stuff with it case included .
