May I just say mr Wren, that it seems you have a collection of some of the most amazing back and side sets available today.
I've spent hours salivating at the sets you have up on your website. Absolutely gorgeous.

Another world-class David Wren guitar on the way! Once again, really enjoying watching your process, David.
That Cocobolo set is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. There's not going to be much more of that available. This particular set is very fortunate to be in your hands!

Thanks so much Stephen! That Coco is courtesy of the fine folks at Hibdon Hardwoods. Love dealing with them!

Beautiful work, David. I remain a fan of your guitars, and this one looks to be another winner. And that Coco...to die for!

I usually take it down to around 2.2 mm (depending on how it flexes and how the grain looks) then splash a bit of water on it just before bending. If it's a tight bend at the waist or cutaway, I'll wrap a bit of tin foil around the area to keep the water/steam working and minimize the scorching. My experience has been that Coco bends nicely.
