Closing in on the final steps. The final coat of finish is on, the bridge and strings go on to complete another fine piece of work by Jonathan. I can certainly concede that this one is more traditional than some other builds, but right down my alley.

Thumbs up Razo #16

Looking Good under finish Mike. I'll have to see if I can arrange with Jonathan to have an up close look at your guitar before he ships her out

He really has no business making guitars that look this good with a serial # like 16.

I can't even imagine what they'll be like by the time he hits triple digits!

Looks beautiful under finish!!

I think I saw someone with a "Razo #19 - to come" in their signature. He's certainly picked up his share of fans here on the AGF. I'll be waiting with much anticipation for your review on this Mike. Depending on what happens with my Ensor, I'm going to be looking to for another guitar...

Thanks to all for the kind words. I should be playing this guitar on Wednesday of next week and will certainly post my observations.

wow that looks really amazing!

Honduran rosewood is one of my favorite tonewoods. Built by Jonathan Razo, I can only imagine your guitar will sound absolutely spectacular!

HERE SHE IS...Mikee think he Likee

Now, for the real test. Does the pretty girl have a good heart or a bad heart? I'm liking my chances based on my pretty solid experience with Jonathan's builds. I don't get to play it until next Weds., but I will definitely post my impressions.

Mike there is an "understated edge" to this guitar. Love the shape of the headstock (which to me is part of the "edge" I mentioned), and the small areas of outlining in black. It is an elegant build and looks beautiful. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on how it sounds. Congratulations!!

Thanks Mike. Elegant and understated was exactly my goal for this build. I am really happy with the way this guitar looks and can't wait to get my hands on it.

Being my very first build, like everyone i guess I was optimistic but still wondered if it would all come together...call it the "worry factor" in me. But, I think Jonathan has again delivered. It is no surprise to me that his prices are going up and his build list continues to grow. Based on the three or four of his guitars I have either owned or played, the consistency is there that is uncommon at this early stage of his career.

You're killing me! This guitar is stunning and close to the specs I would have in a guitar if I was in the market for another. I am completely happy with the guitars I own in every respect, but when I see Jonathan's work posted here, it truly gives me pause. His aesthetics have always spoken to me and I so look forward to your report after you take delivery and play it for a bit.

Congratulations and best,
Jayne

Really beautiful looking guitar--congrats! I'll be looking forward to following your #17 build as well--I'm on Jonathan's build list (#23 I think) for his upcoming smaller model. Enjoy playing your new axe!

I had to chime in with my compliments on design, materials and execution.
