I have just received this truly spectacular 2G from Al.

Beautiful guitar.

I like the Maccafferri influences on the design, the shape of the soundhole in particular.

Makore is a tonewood I'd never heard of until the last few days. AMW posted a video of Bourgeoise Sitka/Makore OO which sounded lovely. Always difficult to gauge a tonewood's properties by watching a YT video but it seems a great tonewood, not a million miles from quilted sapele which is one of my favourite toneoods.
