Yeah, I think that would be fine.

Thanks! Nice job on "Landslide." One of my favorites, though sometimes I forget about the Fleetwood Mac version as I primarily listen to the Smashing Pumpkins version.

Working on a couple of other songs for the November Showcase, but here's one that I've got ready to go. The first number I posted on my SoundCloud site is Ain't Nobody's Business But My Own posted here: https://soundcloud.com/vern-equinox/...usiness-but-my (Same as current song in my signature. Dept of Redundancy Dept.) Published by Porter Granger and Everett Robbins in 1922, this song has been a blues, jazz, ragtime standby for many years and many artists. There are many different titles, lyrics, even chord structure depending on the musicians involved. A few of the early big-selling, "race record" recordings were sung by women:

~ Anna Meyers (Original Memphis Five), 1922, Pathé Records
~ Alberta Hunter, 1923, Paramount Records
~ Bessie Smith, 1923, Columbia Records

Other female artists who've done this song include Billie Holiday, Susan Tedeschi and Dinah Washington.

A rough recording but I like this one better than other, cleaner versions. Captures a warm evening with a window fan blowing, drinking bourbon, playing the guitar. The arrangement was one that just popped into my hands, if that makes sense. My brain said, "Something like this," and my hands said "Okay."

Default Midnight Blue

Well, I'm a guy, so my gender bender song is Midnight Blue by Melissa Manchester... does it count though if the song is sung by a woman? Since I can't sing to save my life, my wife does all the singing in our acoustic duo!

So here it is, performed on my (relatively) new (used) Kronbauer TDK, K&K Pure Mini through a Red-Eye pre-amp into an SA220 and then sonically ruined by recording with a crappy cell phone camera!

My song... kind of a bad mix but what the heck...

Wailin' Jennys, "Arlington." Love this song!

Was a lot of fun to do the harmonies even I didn't do them all that well... I definitely didn't learn their harmonies note from note, just did it from memory.

Ben(?), I LOVE surprising covers--or songs that I would have never expected to sound good in another genre. That Cindi Lauper cover is great! Excellent work!

Awesome job guys. Loving this thread. And I swore I would off myself if I ever heard the Lauper song again years ago. And I am still here!
