Default McKnight Guitar - SOLD

SOLD 2007 McKnight Highlander OM-D

Cocobolo back and sides
Redwood Top
Sycamore binding
Cherry Neck
Gotoh 300 series gold tuners
Hard shell case

Here are some specs:

HighLander OM-D (from Tim's web site):

Upper Bout - 11.25"
Waist - 9"
Lower Bout - 15.25"
Body Length - 19.5"
Depth at Tail - 4.25"

Nut width - 1-3/4"
Scale length - 25.4"
Saddle spacing - 2-1/4"

This guitar is not only visually beautiful it has a full lush tone with clear highs and plenty of bass. Many of you know Tim makes top shelf guitars and he and Mary are very nice people. I had the opportunity a few years ago or so to visit and play several guitars in the Loft. This one caught my attention. I seldom have the opportunity to play this guitar and I hate to see it just sitting in the case.

The guitar is in very good condition and has spent a majority of its time here in the case in a non-smoking home.

Reduced price - SOLD

If you have any questions contact me via email, [email protected]. I'll see them sooner than a private message.

Thanks for looking.
Duane

Wink McKnight Guitars

I've heard of this builder, but I do not know much more. I do know that straight-grained Cocobolo is something special. Please add some specs on this fine looking guitar. Gorgeous woods! How does it sound?

Smile Great builder here

The McNights are AGF sponsors. Lovely folks by all accounts!!!

Very cool builder with a number of fantastic design ideas.

Lots of info in the "custom shop" here on AGF

This should be a NICE axe!!!

I mean REALLY NICE!!!

Should not last long at all. If it was a 12 fret it would be on its way to me already...

Cheers!

Paul

Default McKnight Guitar

I am going to get some specs up soon as I can which was suggested by another forum member yesterday,

I agree with you folks that Tim and Mary are good people and Tim is an excellent builder. It is a beautiful guitar and has a real full tone.

At the risk of sounding like a cliché, this guitar is well beyond my ability to bring out its full potential. Although that might be true of most guitars for me, but anyway.. Like I said, it's been in the case a majority of the time I've owned it.

Thanks
Duane

You might want to contact Tim directly for the specs. He's a member here, and a very nice guy.

I know that guitar well as I recorded several of Tim and Mary's creations back in 2009, but sadly I cannot afford it. I can testify that it is actually a Highlander OM-D, not a 000. Its tone I would describe as "lush" with bell-like trebles and a well-focused bass response with lots of overtones. Good luck with the sale.
