And... Nerfs are great to use for humidifiers. Just wet three of them up and stick em in the soundhole.

See, now you are just enabling. It's understandable, of course. But those foamy things just plain scare me. Fair warning. (especially the green ones. They seem to be very aggressive.)

Capo? I have TWO of them! One Kyser, and the other I have no clue.
Elixirs? Tried them, took them off a week later.
Arm rest? Yeah my couch has one.
I've also played my electric acoustic through a distortion pedal. How's them apples? [emoji23]

Apparently, it is a part that is installed over the top corner of the guitar's lower bout. Some use them for comfort because the corner hurts them. It is also supposed to keep the arm away from the guitar so that the contact does not interfere with the guitar's vibrations.

And curiously mandolinists can get sort of a cage arrangement which fits over the back of the instrument, purportedly to do a similar thing. It's probably best not to touch our instruments at all.

Elixir strings.........same answer
Capo's... I use the Paige, so there! And I don't use it to cheat on chords, I just use it to play JT songs!
Expensive picks.....darn, haven't tried one yet.
Arm rests....tried one, didn't see the point. It's back in it's original box and has stayed there since the 90s.

Elixir strings.....tried them. Went on dull sounding and stayed that way. They got all fuzzy. Took 'em off. Where they stayed.

Capos....Kyser, Shubb, G7 - got 'em all. Don't see any difference. Mainly use it to allow open strings and different chord voicings in various keys.

Expensive picks.....gimmick.

Dare I take mine out of the case?

... I'm OK with the size of my Jumbo guitar. Add a cage, or even an arm rest, and it might feel a little large.

My arm rests on top of my guitar as I play it, does that count. A capo is only useful if you don't want to play in open position. I also use strings on my guitars, Is there anything else that you could use? Any pick you have to pay money for is expensive. As for humidifiers, depends upon how much hot air you can spout, I suppose. Of course a guitar case might need a solicitor, depends upon whether you want to take the stand or the nail it to the wall.

Anything else????

Doc Watson used arm rests and I'm sure he used TS picks in his lifetime. I do too------------but I don't even come close to how he could play!

I Like the JP armrests. They look cool but as always they are hard to get and 38 cents on the dollar exchange and 13% sales tax makes them nice to look at.

Expensive picks? Same as above coupled with shipping I am using the Thalia rosewood picks. They're nice but elusive, put them down and 2 minutes later the pick fairy has taken them.

Fog, believe it or not Doc for most of his career played a simple cheap nylon Herco. I wanna say it was about .78 mm, somewhere in there.
