Default New/Old Samsung tablet, Songbook App ? HELP

I posted a few days ago, looking for info/recommendation . Got many great replies.

Yesterday, I happen upon a posting locally for a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.
So, I went on over and got myself a deal.

Took me a bit of time to figure out how to use the tablet, as I'm not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree.

But, I'm getting there . I powered it up, got the battery charged, figured out how to go on line. Blah Blah .

Now, or at least I though so, I am ready for an App. The recommendation here was Songbook. So, I figured out how to open the google app place and found the App, paid $7 bucks, downloaded the App and stared at the screen.

What the heck ? I was totally lost. Where is the cool screen that tells me how to find music and store music. All I have is Green-sleeves and I hate that song.

How do I use the songbook App ? Any place I can go on line that shows me ?

Thanks

New Samsung owner, ha ha ha

I use songbook to enter my own lyrics and add the chords. Sometimes I find chords and lyrics online (not often) and import the file.

If you find files online that ha e the chords in brackets like this: [Am] , then they will be formatted to display above the line in easy to read format.

Mostly I type, or copy paste in some text and then add in the chords

Everything you need to know about Songbook is on their website at: http://www.linkesoft.com/songbook/android

Greensleeves is just a demo to play with.

"Unfortunately, we cannot provide songs on this site due to copyright restrictions. However, the Internet has huge archives of songs in chordpro format: simply type the song name and file extension pro or chordpro into your favorite search engine, e.g. "song title" chordpro. Or use the built-in Internet search."

This is the same for all of the programs. They can no longer provide direct links and internal search for copyrighted materials. Most of the stuff you find on the internet will get you pretty close to the right chords. Ultimate-guitar.com is a popular site. You will cut and paste the material into your tablet Songbook.
