Default What custom guitar commissions are you expecting delivery on in 2018?

Updated (again)...

Unbelievably, there are only 3-weeks remaining in 2017 (How did that happen? ). I suspect that a number of fellow AGFers have some custom guitar(s) commissions in the queue for quite some time that we may be lucky enough to see realized here in the AGF Custom Shop throughout next year.

What type of guitar(s) are you expecting and from which luthier(s) will we be seeing here in 2018?

Default Marc Beneteau Alpine/Walnut SJ, Summer 18

Everyday that passes is one day less I have to wait for the Alpine/Walnut Jumbo that Marc Beneteau is building me...I'm looking forward to it, as I've always enjoyed the tone that Don Ross and Craig D'Andrea got from theirs. Marc's a great guy to deal with, to boot! Ought to have it midway through summer.

Finally, after several years, I expect my custom classical modeled after Segovia's Hauser that's in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Only drawback is that in the years since I ordered it, I've pretty much stopped playing classical and gone to steel string almost exclusively. Oh well, maybe getting the new classical will inspire me to pull out my classical chops again.

Default Hatcher Pina

There’s a chance I receive this one just before the new year, but I’m any case I’m expecting my Hatcher Pina “Lullaby Guitar” for 2018.

Smile Another JK

I have a third John Kinnaird "Round Peak" in progress. The RP is John's oversized Slope Dread but with a curvy waist.

This one will have lots of bells and whistles. He has started a build thread here in the Custom Shop.

I LOVE my others, obviously!

Cheers

Paul

If the stars are in proper alignment and no unforeseen expenses arise...I will be commissioning a Jake Robinson. Either a Koa/Sitka Parlor or a Flamed Mahogany/Adi GA 12 fret.

I am on the fence and waiting to make my decision after auditioning the current parlor he is building.

Check out his website...he does great work.

Circa OMX, Panamanian Rosewood, Adirondack top, 12 frets to body with cutaway. John's newest model. Should be fun!

Kostal MDW, German Spruce/African Blackwood.

Due to start in 2018 but may not finish in 2018. But Jason has agreed to take plenty of pictures and I will not be shy about posting them.

In 3 months or so, an MLJ Franks resonator with Tassy top, sides and back should show up. Looking forward to a new voice in the crowd.

One of the current stable will then be up for sale. Which one? Don't know yet, Suggestions?
